Highlighting the Future

Blisters are popping on every toes of my feet. I was roaming around the premises of SM hoping to find a lost blogger seeking its way to the Visayas Blogging Summit.

Yes, the Visayas Blogging Summit! After Mr. Bjornson Bernales announced to us the most anticipated Visayas Blogging Summit, I was halfway checking the calendar in my phone, setting its alarm and cancelling all meet-ups on Nov. 26. And now, the anticipation is over. Loaded with hope and interest, I picked up a chair nearest to my fellow bloggers who were talking with excitement.

The Visayas Blogging Summit was carried out with it's theme "Blogging and Beyond". It also highlights that bloging is a potential tool to increase the height of social awareness of every individual.
The event was attended by known personalities who made a big achievements not just on the cyberspace, but also in the industry. Visayas Blogging Summit was spearheaded by a talk of the importance of finding our own niche in the vast area of blogosphere.
Next was the subject on the elevation of social media. It gives importance on one's behavior in the cyberspace. It also calibrated social media as an opportunity of pursuing earnings.
The most interesting part was that when one of the speakers, Mr. Chris Ducker, turns to speak. It was at this time that bloggers, including the walk-in individuals, are caught on the edge of their seats. It was at this point that Mr. Chris was talking about on the five easiest ways to earn money online. He even bets everyone to text him after 30 days if one of those five he mentioned doesn't work.
After the talk of Chris Ducker, the usual thanking of sponsors followed, and at that precise moment, everybody was stunned. Four gorgeous candidates of Miss Earth walked in, waved, and smiled. It was like every men's jaw dropped. As in my case, I was petrified for I was one of their escorts :P! As the candidates grabbed the stage to take their turns of introduction, it was then revealed by Miss Guam herself that she is part filipina. Hearing at those words, a surge of pride began to boil in me.
A series of talks(after the Miss Earth candidates left, leaving us enveloped in awe) was followed, speakers from ABS-CBN Foundation, RAFI and a professional on E-Commerce took their turns on stage, supported by an open forum.
The Blogging Summit is one of a kind event for empowering and lighting the dead torch of awareness that lies to each individuals.

The Visayas Blogging Summit does not end in just a day, rather, it was the start of one's journey towards a better future.

As the crowd parted the Trade Hall, I felt pain thinking the journey that lies ahead. I felt, how many blisters will I get towards this journey?
